Ms. Danna Schmidt is the representative of MTP for North America. Danna brings a wealth of sales and marketing experience to the MTP team with a 20-year proven track record in the tourism and hospitality industry. In addition to several years managing North American and overseas marketing for Travel Alberta, Danna also brings a decade of senior sales and marketing experience with various luxury and boutique hotel and resort companies including Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Bellstar Hotels & Resorts, and the Union Bank Inn.

Under the auspice of her tourism consulting business ~ Summitup, Danna has successfully directed a myriad of short-term marketing and communications projects these past ten years for a variety of industry clients including Tourism British Columbia, Canada’s West Marketplace, International Conference Services, Edmonton Tourism, Spooky’s Haunted House, ICA (Pvt). Ltd., and ElderTreks. She has travelled extensively worldwide and has lived in various Canadian locales as well as Islamabad, Pakistan.

Danna is a recent Religious Studies graduate from the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Humanities, and is an alumna from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), also in Calgary, Canada; where she received a two-year Business Administration/Tourism Marketing college diploma. She currently lives in Seattle, Washington and is the North American representative for MTP.
